You've posted a great list of late 80's/90's artists.

Out of the three choices given in the poll, of course I'll go with Tupac.

Although Nas was very influential, and his album "Illmatic" is one of the greatest
hip-hop albums of all time, Tupac was a great artist and very poetical. Lyrically and
his flow was impeccable, and he had a great persona all-around making legendary music.

I like Eminem as well but mostly on his Shady LP, Infinite, and Marshall Mathers LP.
No matter what anyone says he's certainly a top 15 Hip-hop artist for his substantial
impact after Notorious and Tupac's death, keeping music original up until his relapse.

But my list would consist of the following artist(s) in no order, just the best:

Tupac, Notorious, Nas, Andre 3000/Outkast, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Mobb Deep, Jay Z,
Run DMC, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Roots, The Fugees, Eric B. & Rakim, Raekwon, Gang Starr,
Mos Def, Black Thought, Dilated People, KRS-One, Dead Prez, Common, & Many more other(s).

The problem is, they're all different artists, with different styles but the ones who
are more versatile are the ones I feel are the best such as Eminem, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Nas,
and some others. Some can Freestyle better, some can write better, some have better flow,
some are faster, some have better lyrics, but some have it all. There isn't a best, though.

I completely agree with you, but their Rivalry is completely over now thankfully after seeing
the aftermath of the feud between East and West in the mid-90's and what happened to Tupac
and Biggie, but Nas and Jay Z are both great artists. Preferably I'd choose Nas over Jay Z
due to the outcome of the rival between the two and Nas showing his superiority over Jay Z.

But Jay Z isn't that great, just an influential person in Hip-hop mostly. I like his song
"Forever Young" though, and some off the Blueprint 3, but that's basically about it for me.
Ah, and I forgot to mention his classics like "Hard Knock Life" and some others, those are good
