I don't get it, Is it like the whole Homefront code thing? like if you buy a used copy and someone used the code you can't play online?

go to customer support on Ea they might give you a free code if you say that yours doesnt work .

I bought a used copy from my friend and he didnt give me a code but i am still able to play online without the code.

no you can still play i played a used copy you just cant play all the game types

You can still play online without the code.
The code gives you access to the MoH marketplace
