In this thread I will be talking about how to successfully quickscope in CoD Black Ops Multiplayer.
Quickscoping can be hard when other players are running around with automatic weapons. Hardcore snipers and quickscopers and new quickscopers may want to look at this thread because it will help you use the sniper rifle in the most effective way possible. This guide will also touch on how to avoid being killed while using your sniper rifle.
First and foremost you want to set up your class.
For your best bet at being accurate, use this setup to further improve your sniping.
Sniper Type: L96A1
Why This Sniper: The L96A1 is your best bet for quickscoping because it is bolt action. Bolt action snipers are more accurate and do not require spraying for a kill.
Attachments: Use the variable zoom
Why This Attachment: The variable zoom has been proven to increase accuracy a lot more than the regular scope, it also comes in handy when in long range situations.
Perks-
Perk 1: Lightweight or Ghost (Submitted By RESPEC7)
Why: Lightweight makes running around easier (duh) and when used as PRO you get the advantage of no falling damage which you will find to come in handy in tight situations. Ghost makes sure the enemies don't see you when they have a spy plane up and surprise is key.
Perk 2: Sleight Of Hand
Why: When in close quarters quickscoping, you will need the quick reload in tight situations even though upgrading to PRO doesn't help at all.
Perk 3: Marathon
Why: Explains itself when in use. You may think otherwise, but it really helps.
Secondary, Special Grenades and Equipment-
Secondary Weapon: Ballistic Knife
Why: When turning corners you will want to have the quickness of your knife when there are enemies nearby, especially when quickscoping in close quarters, which is all the time.
Special Grenades: Concussion Grenade
Why: Even though flashing blinds an enemy, they can still run away/go prone. Concussions prevent this problem for an easy quickscope.
Equipment- Motion Sensor
Why: You'll know where the enemies are and the element of surprise is key when quickscoping.
Lethal Equipment-
-Tomahawk
Why: For Skilled Kills and that occasional OMFGWTFBBQ!
Now that you have your class set up, there are more tips and tricks for short and long distance quick scoping.
Tips-
1) Stand Still- staying stationary gives you more accuracy and control over your shot.
2) Do NOT go prone- going prone may make you more accurate, but unless you are in a great spot, you will be an easy kill.
3)Keep the element of surprise on your side- When the opposing team doesn't know where you are, they WILL die. nuff said

Well Flak Jacket, Sleight of Hand, Tac Mask is way better, no offense but quickscoping with exstended mags is much more recommended
You could also use Ghost, that way you aren't gay'd out of a kill every time they have a spy plane up.
