Since not all of us have a mac (and are not planning to get one soon), would it be possible for find/create an online compiler for XCode (The programming language used to make apps for apple products (Don't say XCode is not the correct language. It is right off of the apple site. XCode is based off of Objective C ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ? Please send me a link if I am wrong. Anyway... and then make an IDE that sends the code to compile to the online compiler? It would be useful to many people who want to program apps, but cannot afford a mac. It would then also be useful to find an emulator for either mac or ipod/iphone (either online or download) to test the programs. What does everyone think of this idea?

Why an online compiler?

Why not just make an application in .NET (for just Windows) as mac already has one (XCode), I have never looked at how XCode compiles its files and resources into a single app, I have never asked that of XCode before, I only know Objective C (somewhat) because of it being a modified C language, if you have any information or found / done any research into how XCode compiles its apps ready for distribution then by all means post it and I can see what I can do, but other than that, I don't fancy adding to my work of finding the information out.

What's the purpose of coding an application for a different platform than the one you're currently on when you can't run the code?

It is so that people who want to make apps for the ipod and other apple devices don't have to go out and buy a $1000 mac instead they could program the software on windows and then use either their ipod, or an emulator of an ipod to run the code they created.

It is not only me that (kind of) want to program apps. and for people who just would like to test it out should not need to buy a mac, or download a bunch of files to run it on their windows. This is mostly for just testing it out.
