I hope this thread helps you learn something about making GFX and i hope you are successful with your GFX shop. Please feel free to leave some feedback/opinions to help me make this topic more impressive.
Introduction
+ A Graphics or GFX Shop/Service is when you make GFX for people who request them. They can be avatars, banners, signatures, youtube background or even wallpapers.
Most Important Thing
+ Do not use the same font for all your GFX's, always try out different styles.
+ The best way to get known is to practice on programmes such as photoshop and show your work to your friends or maybe even enter competitions so people can see it.
Rules
+ Having rules for your GFX Shop is very important, so people don't spam the topic or post their request more than once. Here are some rules to use:
' NO Spamming
No posting request twice
No stealing other peoples work
No flaming '
Payments
+ DO NOT make the biggest mistake most GFX artists make. Don't start off by asking people to pay for your work. Continue making free GFX and if people think you are good enough, then they will start paying you on their own without you even asking.
The Shop Title
+ Your GFX Shop needs a good title. You need to make your title eye-catching and it needs to say exactly what you are doing.
+ Put in your title what type of GFX you are doing.
+ Whether the shop is open or closed.
+ Owner of the shop and how many artists are involved.
+ A good title should look something like this:
"Image's FREE GFX Shop - Avatars, Backgrounds, Xbox Themes - [Open] Closed"
Status
+ Having a status is very important because it tells customers if your GFX shop is open or closed.
+ An example of a status is : [OPEN] Closed :
Making Your Thread
+ Once you have done all the above, people will statr clicking on your thread and requesting you for GFX. So the next thing you need to do is to add a form to make it look proffesional and also so it is easy to read.
+ A form is basically a layout in which you want the request to be.
+ An example of a form is:
Type of GFX:
Text:
Text Colour:
Text Font:
Background Image(Please Provide with Link):
Background Colour:
G.I.F(Moving Image) or not:
Anything Else:
Work
+ Always make sure when you make your thread, put some of your previous work in there so people know what kind of GFX work you deliver.
Speed
+ Once people start requesting you for GFX, you will need to tell them approximately how long it will take you to make the GFX for them. If you don't, they might get frustrated and cancel their GFX request.
+ Another thing to do once you have made your GFX, is to send them the link in private message. This is because if you post it on the thread, leechers and trolls can steal the GFX without even requesting.
Waiting List
+ Having a waiting list in you list is very important. This will show people requesting that you are not ignoring their request but you are making other people's first because they are ahead of them in the waiting list.
+ This will also stop people raging and leaving the shop because they will know when it is their turn.
