Controller thing might be from a bad KV or the piece on the xbox is broken. Maybe try a wired controller if you have it.

Go on youtube and look up the towel trick. What you do is:

1. Wrap two towels around your xbox with only the power cable pluged in. Unplug everything else.

2. Turn on and leave running for at least 45 minutes.

3. Come back and turn it off. Unplug the power cable now and leave in front of a fan or in a cool room for about 30 minutes.

4. Hook it all back up turn on and see if this works.

-Hope This Helps
