It only works on the BENQ Drives, read the post atleast 3 times so you understand it. People who try do this and in their first try to do iso mod you might have done something wrong, you need to research more about to hotswap.

I don't have to flame at all.. This in no way will work.

Do you even understand the point of flashing the drive? So that it can READ DVD+R DL discs as games. Without that updated F/W it won't even see your burn disc as a game. The OP has never done this on a non flashed drive and I feel 101% certain that none of the people who said "it works!" did either. Do you not understand that? Put a burned disc in a stock 360 and tell me what happens. Did you know the same thing happens if you attempt a hotswap, cause it does.

To the OP.. IF you have never done it yourself (you used a flashed drive) and all you know is that others say it works... that means it doesn't.

PS. I could have called you out on this from the beginning, but I didn't...

BenQ drives and Lite ON drives are identical in the way they read and process information. (Only dif is security setup). So if it works on a non flashed BenQ, it'll work on a non flashed Lite On.... hmmmm

Hitachi drives are identical to Samsung drives, you can even just switch the PCB boards from one to the other if you feel like it... So if it works on a Hitachi, it'll work on a Samsung.

So... What the OP really said was...EVERY drive type for the 330 WILL recognize backups of games and allow you to play them WITHOUT flashing your drive!!!!. Because he is aware that is what the flashed F/W does. It makes it so the drive RECOGNIZES the disc as a retail game, and has nothing to do with reading it. And since it recognizes the modded iso disc as a game, it would recognize every other backup as a game and you could play burnt games without ever flashing the drive. Because stating that it can only recognize 1 burnt disc out of all of them (since they are all manufactured, archived, and burned the same way, but not any other one, would make the OP look really, really... not smart.

Seriously guy... listen... IT WILL NOT WORK. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. Your unflashed drive will not recognize a burnt disc.

And the "it has to be a BenQ drive" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. AS BenQ drives are identical in reading and processing as Lite Ons. Hitachis are the same as Samsungs, so if it works on one, it would have to work on them all.

Get it through your heads, this cannot work. As an unflashed drive will NEVER recognize the disc as a game. If you get lucky it'll kick you back out to the main dashboard and say "Play DVD" if not, it will just freeze. Common sense people!
