I have an old, 2008 Macbook that it's hard drive 'crashed', anyways I know I need to replace it. I am looking at buying an internal hard drive for it and need to know ones that will actually work.

Can anyone drop a link to one that would work. I cannot give you a serial because it is frozen at the white start-up screen. I already went to an apple store so I know what I have to do, just so you know. Just need to find out a hard drive that would work for me. SO..

Can anyone drop a link to an internal hard drive that would work with my 2008 White Unibody Macbook, not the new ones with glass touchpad, etc.

Thanks.

I deal with Mac hard drives a lot and have had way too much experience working on them for problems like this.

Almost any 2.5 inch hard drive will do. What size (up to 1TB) and speed (5400rpm or 7200rpm) do you want?

And have you tried anything on the current drive like booting from the install disk and using disk utility to repair it?
