Ok so I have two xboxs right now. Both of which are sorta broken.
The first one works, but I dont have a cd drive for it. And I cant just put the cd drive from my second on in this one, because one, I dont have the tools to flash it, and two, I dont really know how. I can get online with this one, but I cant playgames becuase of no CD drive.
The second one has all the parts to it. It had that blank screen thing, where the screen doesnt show up, but the sound came out. I did the towel trick and fixed that earlier. Now, I dont have a harddrive, becuase I have always just used a flashdrive. But now this xbox doesnt recognize any flashdrives or anything in the usb ports. I know that the usb works because I tried it in my other xbox. I need the flashdrive so that I can first update my dashboard. Next I need it to go online and play any games. I also tried flashing my flashdrive to NTSF or what ever it is from my computer, but that still didnt work. I cant get online on this one becuase I cant get the flashdrive to work. If I got the flash to work everything would be fine for this xbox.
So what do you guys suggest that I do, and is there anyway that I can fix any of this.

Grab the flash dive and go to the online xbox, update.
open the both xbox's take the cd drive and then change he cd key. hope it helped

he cant cuzz his main xbox has no drive and he will ned the key from that one

open the xbox u need to update and see if the usb solder came off the motherboard when you were doing the towal trick it might have melted the solder

Im probably just going to go and buy a harddrive tommmorrow.
Just wanting to ask on here to see if there was anything that I could do to fix it before going out and spending money.

Why do you have to flash the drive from your second xbox just to put it in the other? Is one the 2011 model and the first one is older?
