Hey guys, I want a capture card pretty badly but I don't really know which one to buy and what would be a good price etc. I want good quality but not to big files. If you guys could suggest some i'll have a look.

Cheers

Depends on what your budget is

For the cheaper price, decent quality i say the Dazzle DVC 100

But if you have the money, get a hauppage. Excellent quality ($200 however, Dazzle's about $50)

I recommend the HD PVR as a montage maker myself.

Or as you are starting out go for the dazzle and you can render it to better quality

If you want pretty good SD (standard definition) capturing, get a Dazzle DVC 170 with an S-Video setup. Works like a charm. I can get pretty awesome quality out of it. A 10 minute video can fit YT's file size limit even after rendering.

For the record:

but i would also suggest a black magic intensity pro they are around $ 200 and record through hdmi so you will only need two cords. one going into the chip and one going out
