If you ask me, I think these 3 are the most broken rules on TTG & one way or

another, they have to stop.

All caps doesn't just mean you can't use all caps in your post or topic...it's

the Title too :!: I've seen this happen a lot lately.

Exhibit A:

Don't believe me? Check the rules posted by TTG SEAN himself.

Rules can be found here: The Tech Game Rules or under 'Extra Links' tab.

Look at 3.3, it's considering yelling!

OFFENSIVE POSTS

3.1 Do not post offensive, abusive, obscene, hateful, discriminating, or harmful posts.

3.2 ABSOLUTELY NO Cursing or Swear Words

3.3 Follow basic netiquette rules. For example, DO NOT ever type in ALL CAPS. This applies to both topic titles and the post messages, as this is considered yelling.

3.4 Never under any circumstances post personal information of another user, pictures, or any other material without person's consent.

3.5 After 2 Warnings - All warnings will be "tracked". This is to keep troublemakers from not getting the 'penalty' for their actions.

3.6 All warnings/bans given by the The TheTechGame website's Staff are final. TheTechGame website's staff members reserve the right to ignore any requests to modify a warning/ban.

3.7 If you are a long standing member, act like one; lead by example and assist other newer users rather than attacking them. We look upon our veteran users to use this opportunity to teach the newer users the appropriate way to conduct themselves in this community.

3.8 Personal attacks such as instigating "flame bait", verbal abuse, mocking or sexist remarks of members in posts are not tolerated at thetechgame. Such posts will be deleted on sight or moderated accordingly.

3.9 Members that reply to posts simply to instigate argument will be dealt with and shown no mercy.

3.10 Posts in a particular forum need to stay on topic.

Another issue here is all these mini-modders. There's something called the report button.

USE IT!

Exhibit B:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Don't report him and then reply saying, Reported, GTFO

They have moderators and admins here for a reason!

Instead, you can report the mini modder for mini modding.

Finally, spamming...this really bugs me. This hits the spot.

Exhibit C: Enough said. :

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This includes +1, haha 202020, nice topic, etc.

Check the rules below 4.4. Also please don't make any topics about you getting scammed

by another member. 1, it's more than likely YOUR fault. 2, it's considered spam

because nobody is going to be able to do anything about it. 3. Just report his profile

and private message all the moderators/admins and surely one of them will help you.

Just provide pictures.

HOW TO POST

4.1 Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do or don't want to read.

4.2 Keep the focus. Each board has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain board will either be moved to the appropriate board, locked, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate board. Users that post in the wrong board will be warned. Continuing these actions will result in a banned.

4.3 DO NOT bump your topics. Doing so causes unnecessary clutter to the forum.

4.4 If you post a one-lined message such as "lol", "+1", etc... it is classified as SPAM and will be removed. Multiple offenses can result in your posts being deleted or a complete loss of posting rights.

4.5 Do NOT report your OWN post(s) for any reason.

Anyways, I said enough...please don't ignore these either.

Right before you post a topic:

1. Use the search tool first before you post your question. Many times a similar post already exists.
2. Do not use general titles for your posts. 'Help me', 'Look here', 'I was wondering' and 'Quick question' are bad examples of general titles.
3. Do not use all CAPITAL LETTERS in your posts or topic titles.
4. Utilize the Spell Check feature for the subject and post text.
5. Abide by all of the Community Rules.

Lastly, another thing that really bugs me is the grammar TTG use's.

Almost every post I click, there's at least a spelling error in the thread!

There's a Spell Checker on almost all computer, if not...TTG Provides you with one!

Hopefully this influences you and makes you a better poster if

you broken any of these rules,

Rant Over. :wat:

Spammers, and all caps, those are my big issues. They annoy me! Mini-modders dont bother me, they get reported and people -rep them, they will learn there lesson. But does telling people to follow the rules, and taking necessary action, called "mini-modding"?

I don't think this is considered mini-modding because I'm telling everyone

generally, not to a specific person.

But, if this thread is breaking any rules what so ever...the mods/admins would delete it.

Mini-modding is when you tell someone "Not allowed to do this" or "Ban this kid!"

Your pretty much acting as moderator...your telling them to do their job.

I agree with this whole post man.

Apart from one little thing...

Mini-modding isnt saying 'gtfo scammer' or telling someone that a certain thing is against the rules, its simply making posts telling mods what to do or trying to enforce a moderators opinion, like 'This guy should be banned' or 'remove this post mods'

Hope i cleared that part up.

A lot of the posts I see are either all capitals, mini-moderating, or spam. I've also noticed that TTG is getting flooded with posts about lobbies. I think that they should make some rule with specifications about what you need to say when posting a lobby, paid or free. Anyway, great post!
