Wondering how to become known on TTG?
Well there are usually 2 main ways to become Famous and Known on TTG:
1st way is: Becoming super active and posting useful posts, and becoming a top poster.
2nd way is: Become active in the shoutbox. That way members can get to meet you and figure out who you are.
Finding the shoutbox:
The shoutbox can be found under the extra links tab on the forum navigation or by going on the following link:

Wondering how to get some of those cool badges? Well heres how:
Trusted Seller: This badge is awarded by an Admin if he thinks you deserve it and sold enough goods to prove that your legit.
Rated Awesome: Theres really no description on how to get it, but I would suggest being awesome and posting helpful tutorials on the site.
M.V.C: Which stands for Most Valued Contributor and is one of the hardest ranks on TTG to earn. Only the best of the best get awarded this rank. You really have to prove yourself to get it. In other words it Awesome+Veteran put together.
Veteran: This is awarded to users that have been on the site for a while and have done alot to help the community out and other TTG members.
What are Avatars, Signatures, and Profile banners?
Avatar- Every member is allowed to have a an Avatar. The avatar image size has to be 100x100.
Signature- Only Gold Members (Premium) are allowed to have signatures. The members signature if found on the bottom left of each users reply or topic.
Profile Banner- All TTG Members are allowed to have a profile banner. Profile banners can be found on every TTG Members profile on the Top right.
Where can I found out and see which members on TTG have staff?
Well you can find out by either going to the Site Navigation Tabs Section, click Extra Links, then click on Site Staff or you can click on the following link to redirect you to the site staff members area:

To figure out who has which rank:
Under the name of the member, it will say either Site Admin, Global Mod, or Section Mod.
So what ever they have under their name, thats the rank they are.
How to get staff:
Getting staff is one of the hardest missions to get on TTG. Staff are chosen by admins and other site staff. They are not chosen by post count. Staff are only given to people who deserve it and people who have been on the site for a while
Tip: Never ask for staff. usually if you ask for staff, you will never get it.
Another Tip: Do not act like staff or tell someone your staff but your not. If you do that it usually results in an Instant IP Ban.
Whats a Stiky? How do I get one?
A stiky is a very important topic which can be found on topic of each Forum Section. The topics with the green check mark are stikied topics.
You gets stickys if a staff member from TTG find your post useful and helpful.
The site arcade:
I think this is one of the most fun parts about TTG. You can play awesome and fun arcade games and compete against other members to get the highest score.
The Arcade can be found in the Site Navigation section under extra links or by clicking on the following link:

What is rep?
Reputation is a number. Theres no really description to what is rep. But in other words it is basically feedback. If you help someone out you will usually get rep from the person.
Whats happens if I make a topic and ask for rep?
Well you probally will either get a ban or an suspension. Just remember Rep is not an Currency.
Where can I find out the Rep Levels and the Users with the most rep?

TheTechGame Download section:
The download section of TheTechGame is filled with awesome and fun downloads for every member of TTG. You can find the Download section on the top Navigation Section or by clicking on the following link:

You may also summit Downloads to the download section.
How to summit a download to the Download Section Tutorial:
1st- Go to the Download section area.
2nd- On the top left there is a little text that says Add Download
3rd- You will click on that and fill out the application
4th- Once done click add this download
5th- The download will be verified by a staff member
6th- If the download is useful you will see your download in the download section.
The Tutorial section of TTG:
In the Tutorial section you can find lots of awesome Tutorials for all kinds of stuff. All members of TTG are allowed to acess the Tutorial area of TTG.
You can find the Tutorial section under the Site Navigation Section at the top or by clicking on the following link:

Adding a tutorial to this section go's the same as adding a Download to the Download Section. Just instead of clicking Add Download you will have to click Add Tutorial.
The Video Section:
The Video section is a place where TTG members can share videos. There are all kinds of categories for the Video Section.
The Video Section can be found under the Site Navigation Section or by clicking on the following link:

To summit a video you will have to click on the Add Video tab on the top left and follow the instructions.
Whats the Video Spotlight thing on the homepage?
That is located on the homepage bottom right. Once a month a new video gets chosen to be the video spotlight of the month and appear on the homepage.
Want to summit a Spot light Video to be shown on the Home Page? Well heres how:
You will have to go to TTG's homepage and scroll to the bottom. You will see on the bottom right a text where it says submit a Spotlight video click on that and follow the instructions on how to do it.
The [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Button. What is it?
This is a button if an member find your topic useful or helpful they click on it. And it will be added to your total number of Thanks to your account.
Where do I find the Thanks Button?
The Thanks button can be found under every single topic on the bottom right of the topic. If you find the topic useful or helpful click the button and it will add your thanks.
Note: You can not press the thanks button on your own topic.
How do I Report a Account? Well here's how:
Well TTG has added a Report system for user accounts also. What you will have to do to report and account is go on the users profile and on the very top right of the users profile you will see a sign that looks like this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . Click on it and follow the instructions.
Whats Premium?
Premium is a membership where you get lots of acess to fun stuff, change your name, have a gold member badge, and hidden forums
How much is Premium and how do I get it?
Premium membership costs 6$ a month and you can get it by either clicking on the Premium tab or on your account profile tab theres a little bar that says get premium.
What do I need to get Premium?
You will need 6$ and a Verified Paypal
Can I gift Premium to other members?
Yes you can, but you will have to be premium first before you can gift anyone it.
How to gift premium to other members:
You will have to make sure that you have gold. Then you will go to the members profile you want to gift gold. On the left side you will see a text where it says Give the gift of gold click on it and follow the instructions.
Asking for Premium:
If you ask for Premium like make a topic saying "Can someone gift me Premium" then it can result to a suspension and its gonna give you harder chances of someone gifting you premium.
Mini Tutorial on: How to stay out of trouble on TTG.
- Right after you register read the rules.
- Do not make topics saying "I need a 10th Lobby" (Just look in the MW2 section for lobbies.)
- Do not argue with the staff. That usually causes a ban or suspension.
- Do not make inappropriate topics.
- If you are a Gold Member do not leak anything to the normal members.
- Always try to get along with members.
- If you have a problem with a member, instead of making a topic, private message an admin.
- Do not scam on TTG. It will cause in an IP Ban.
- Try to make your replys long, not 1 word.
- Try not bump your own topic.
- Don't copy and paste a topic that was already posted on the site.
- Don't make topics asking for reputation (usually you will receive negative rep)
How to make a Nice and Neat Tutorial:
The Basics:
- Well always use correct spelling. You can always use the spell checker that TTG has.
- Try to make your post well organized. Try to make it in order not out or order.
- Do not add to much color to your thread, I personally do not like colored thread. Simple and neat are the best.
- Try to give it a header. Details on what the Tutorial is about.
- Use complete sentences and good grammar.
- Use line breakers to divide it.
- Try to make the more important stuff bold
- Center the post, that way it makes it look better.
- Try to get more ideas from members for you to add to the thread.
- Try not to copy and paste some one elses thread.
- If you do copy and paste something give credit.
- If its copied and pasted add it in a quote, to make it look better
- Try to make it unique, something that no other post has.
- If the tutorial has been posted before, then theres no need for you to post it again.
- If you are talking about something like a button, try to add images.
- Never ever ask for your topic to be stikied. It will just result it to never get stikied.
- Try to give examples of what you are talking about
- Add spaces in between words. Don't put 5 words together that the reader can't see what you are posting.
Wondering how do I meet new members on TTG? Well heres how:
- Easiest way I know to meet new members is being in the shoutbox alot.
- Viewing other Members profile and writing coments on your wall.
- Open up a GFX shop if you are good and make some GFX
- Do give aways
- Help out other members if you know somthing that they don't
- Help new members out on TTG.
Some Tips on how not to Spam.
- When you make a Topic try to give description of what it is, not 1 sentence long or 1 word.
- When making a reply try not to reply with 1 word or 2.
- Don't bump your topic.
- If someone is asking for help don't reply saying "Sorry don't know what your talking about.
- Try not to reply to a Topic that you already have replied unless someone is asking you a question.
-If you see a Spam Topic, report it instead of making a Topic about it.
