So i got MW2 for my ps3 today and my thumbs keep slipping of the damn analog sticks.. and i was wondering if anybody has swapped out some analog sticks from the xbox controller and put them into a ps3 controller?

or if anyone knows if they fit properly and work.

Look them up on google. They are $10 and are great.

I dont know if they would fit, and unless you already have the tools to take them apart it would be a little easier to just do a little home-made version of grips, or order some new sticks and the screw driver to take the controller apart

This. The caps on FPS Freeks are more like the the xbox analog sticks (they are concave as opposed to PS3's convex caps). Plus, the extra leverage helps with aim.
