Hello, recently i have read a few topics about Microsoft "Banning" Accounts. I would just like to clear a few things up, first of all this is NOT the only Enforcement tool Microsoft/PAX East use to "Ban" accounts from there online service (XboxLive). The name of the "program" made by PAX East is called "Vulcan".

To see Vulcan at work watch this video.

On Vulcan you can "Controll" the program by using the Xbox 360 Controller.

The User interface looks easy to controll, there are 2 ques, the Desicion Que and the Enforcement Que. The desicion que is split into 3 sections Active, Runway, Limbo.

Active is where they are working at the moment in time, eg. a Desk.

Runway is where complaints (File Complaints) come for them to handle and decide the accounts fate.

Limbo is where decisions have been saved but not yet been put into effect. (They need evidence)

After that you can switch over to watch Microsoft varify the accounts for the suspension/ban in real time.

That is how PAX East/Microsoft ban accounts via complaints.

Microsoft can also ban you for having "Harrassing" content on your profile. For example the robot with the finger saying "****", or racist remarks ect.

Suspected gamertags will appear on another column. Then PAX East/Microsoft can view your avatar, (checking for the modded ones) your motto, bio, location.

Some players have "Art" on their boi, witch is fine, unless you have something offensive, There is a tool on Vulcan witch allows you to re-size any Bio to fit any art width.

After PAX East or Microsoft make their descion and tehy varify it they can then highlight the players gamertag in 4 different colours (remember this is using the Xbox controller so the X,Y,A and B buttons all act as the colours X being blue and so on...)
The differnt colours mean different threat levels and different times for suspencion.

When they select the threat level they then have to select the fields which the players have voiolated the Code of Conduct. They do this because when the player gets the email about getting banned it tells him/her what they have done.

Writen and researched by me (-Dinosaur-)

Hoped this helped you to understand how you got banned
