I'm sorry if this was already posted somewhere, I just got my jtag 4 days ago and I'm trying to think of some innovative ideas.
I don't have a flashed xbox so I can't test it but if you have a Jtag you know what I'm talking about with this.
If you go to the xexmenu, you can see your usb, hard drive and stuff like that. There will be an option when you go to devices where you can look at the files inside your game(ISO files). I was wondering if you could delete and add files to this disk to make it work on a flashed xbox(mods on a flashed xbox). If this won't work please tell me and why if you can.

it wont work you need a jtag to run the unassigned game code so burning them to a disk and trying in a retail console wont work

Em you know you can extract those files from the ISO of the game on a PC too right?

Unfortunately no this will not work,way to simple to work unfortunately.

I didn't say retail console, I was wondering if I could modify the files on the disk with my jtag by replacing them then play them on a FLASHED console, I didn't know if it needed to be stealth patched since its already on a xbox 360 disk.

I realise this but a Jtag can do the exact same thing without extracting the files, I don't think the simplicity of this method has anything to do with how successful the outcome of doing it is. I just don't have a flashed drive to test this out on besides on my jtag and since it runs unsigned code it won't be a good test. I am asking to those who know the mechanics of flashed xbox's so they can tell me if theres something about stealth patching or some other thing that would have this not work.

Ya, I would test it myself however I don't have flashed xbox to do so, so I'm asking if another person could test it for me and tell me the results.

Oh but the simplicity of the method does have everything to do with it.

It's one of the first things you would noticed as a security failure and was no doubt patched or fixed in some way before the original release of the console back in 2005.

This has been brought up a lot by many people due to it's simplicity and ease to think of,however,it does not work & has been proven to not work,and at any rate,would have been easy to patch if it did work.

If only it was this easy..

a flashed console is retail apart from the drive firmware so the console isnt able to run homebrew it would work if you made the disc specifically for the jtag but wont work in a non jtag console i probably didnt explain my first post very well so i appologise for that
