If i am being quite blunt, it is none of our business.
It was up to Xman and hippie, who they wanted, and in my opinion they picked some very good moderators.

TBH i dont care who the new staff are aslong as they are good and hlepful i also only no 2 of them but hey they must have it for a reason!

I think it should we up to the staff.

If we have the members vote, they could vote unfairly.

For example, if the person is nice and they are uneducated, people might vote for him even if he isn't qualified.

This site is not a democracy nor is Staff selection a popularity contest. The site needs people that will work to keep this place running. The fact that some of the individuals selected don't have a high post count means nothing. There are some idiots that have high post counts that I would not allow to dig a ditch near a gas line. Intelligence, work ethic, integrity and maturity have nothing to do with post count, but they are qualities that were considered when selecting the staff. So what if a few are new here? Just because they are new does not mean that they can't do the job. They were selected based on specific criteria, one of them being trust. You have to remember that having access to the back parts of the site takes a tremendous amount trust from the owners. Having a prior friendship means that the trust is already there. They are in the same boat as the rest of the staff, if they do not perform they will be demoted. Just like me and everyone else.

There are two options for you.
1. Deal with it, welcome them to the site and continue on with your life
2. Leave
