Well if you want to be one of the best in the game you are gonna need some headphones. You dont know which ones to get get? Well thats where I come in. Hopefully by the end of reading this you will have a better understanding of which headphones are best suited for you.

Lets start off with the Turtle Beaches. I have had 2 pairs of these, the first set being the x31's and I have just recieved my new and improved x41's. Both of these headphones have been exactly what I would want in a gaming headpiece. Lets look at the pros and cons from a consumers standpoint.
X31's
Price: $99.95

PROS:
-Quality sound
-VERY comfortable on your head/ears, easily adjustable for my huge dome
-Good voice control an easy toggle on/off switch.
-When you talk into the mic you can hear yourself! Very useful and not annoying like an echo.
CONS:
-The foam in the ear piece could be easily ripped
-The in-fared light transmitter which transmitted sound to the headset could be easily obstructed from any piece of material.
-If you went below the in-fared light the headphones would not pick any sound up AT ALL.
-The Voice connector did NOT work with the chat pad because of its size.
-When voice wire is connected there is a faint buzz, can be annoying at times but is usually easy to ignore.

PROS:
-Crystal clear sound, can hear someone rustle through a bush with ninja pro and pinpoint there EXACT location.
-Much better cushioning on the top and ear pieces. Made with a new mesh material which is extremely comfortable.
-The new and improved digital RF transmitter allows you to be in any position and the sound will not be distorted in any way!
-The chat boost feature automatically increases incoming chat volume during loud game sequences
-Eliminates game sounds picked up by chat mic (best feature EVER!)
-Independent controls for game audio and chat volumes
-When you talk into the mic you can hear yourself! Very useful and not annoying like an echo
Cons:
-When voice wire is connected there is a faint buzz, can be annoying at times but is usually easy to ignore.
-Eats batteries like a fat kid and cake. New batteries every 2 days at least.

Now I have not personally had these headphones so I am not going to list the Pros and Cons but instead going to list what they can do.

-Built-in amplifier boosts game audio
-Independent controls for game audio and chat volumes
-Mic monitoring lets you hear what you're saying

I have x1's, and they are a great choice if you're on a budget... They're as much as a wireless mic, but about a thousand times more useful. I got them because I didn't want to spend $200 on something I might not even be doing in a year, but the $50 was way more than worth it.
