Intro: My opinions of what an original gamertag is might, or will be different than yours. Just remember to keep your mind open to what others say, and their opinions.

\/Considering that a lot of people are asking if their Gamertag is "oG" I decided to make a post for you to see if it is.\/


There are many people saying that the Gamertag has to be in a certain length of letters, and I say NO. They can be any length up to 15 characters, if you can find a word of that length without including: "er", "ing", "est", "ed", "s", "y", "ness" at the end of the word.

To be an Original Gamertag they should not have any of the endings listed above^.They should not have any other random letters to it, and NO NUMBERS (Numbers are only okay if it is the name of a game/company)! They should have a definition to it, and not have random capital letters. Use actual words and not just what it sounds like, for example: "You" and "U". Never use "Texting Words" such as: WTF, LOL, JK. Remember to spell things out right! If you do not not know how to spell something, check how to spell it. Do not substitute letters for numbers, or letters that sound like the same. Do not include any double letters.


"What is classified a Semi-Original?": a semi-original gamertag is a gamertag with either 2 words or different endings.Two word Semi-Originals: Dont Care, Epic Fail, Fat Cat, Ice Cold. Different endings Semi-Originals: Dream"er", Fish"ing", Luck"y", Strong"est", Heart"less", Scramble"s". One letter gamertags are absolutely Original.


Although most Gamertags might not seem "Original" to some, it might be just you that thinks it is and thats fine. My Gamertag is original to me and has a "z" instead of an "s".

wow, awesome post man and you have a lot of info about OG's lol. My current gamertag is GawLey FTW and it isnt that OG at all, but next week when i get my 300$ out of ad sense with money i have made from youtube I will be buying the gamertag Zombies or paying someone to get me the gamertag Gawley, so i will be a little more OG then lol
