Ok so i got my xbox 360 regular white one not elite or anything special about 3 years ago, and I have never got the rrod. I have taken it apart, hot swapped it, and put it back together back and forth plenty of times and still no trouble. Today just a few minutes ago my parents tell me to move it into the livingroom so they can watch a movie. I take my xbox and walk out my room with it and my powerbrick cord gets stuck on the edge of the door and it yanks my xbox out of my hands and it goes flying and smashes the ground. My harddrive fell out, the sides piped off, the front piped off, the cords were yanked out and everything. I yell and pick my xbox up and hook it all up and it works perfectly. Never could of asked for a better xbox!
