DietHealth is the username for Diet.com's video team which is solely produced by Sarah Dussault, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . DietHealth features celebrity fitness trainers, guest hosts, and a variety of other health and fitness personalities.

What do you do?
DietHealth uploads a new health or fitness video every week. Although the format has changed quite a bit since we started the channel, we continue to produce health and fitness videos lasting 1-10 minutes long in length. From recipes to workouts, our main goal is to help our viewers achieve a happy and healthy goal weight and lifestyle.

When/why did you/your business apply to the Partner Program?
Diet.com applied to the partner program in November of 2007 after working a successful campaign with Bethenny Frankel. Realizing our power to make an impact on the web and drive traffic to Diet.com, we saw the partner program as an additional revenue resource we had not explored. Hosting our videos on YouTube was something we first did to drive traffic, but we quickly saw it also became a smart business model as our videos began to generate substantial revenue.

How has being a YouTube Partner helped your business or personal life?
Being a YouTube partner has increased our channel and website's credibility. As one of the first fitness and health channels ever on YouTube, it's wonderful to see the difference we've made in our viewers lives and the trend we helped start here on YouTube. As a partner, we are able to put the money we generate back into our video production quality. YouTube is the only form of advertising and marketing Diet.com currently uses.

How has YouTube changed your business or personal life?
Being a YouTube partner changed our business by helping guide us into the social media juggernaut that it is. Having the following on YouTube gives our website, social media credibility and the ability to sell our own social media marketing campaigns for brands.

What results have you seen since you were accepted into the program?
We have a seen our online video revenue jump, and our traffic from YouTube to diet.com has significantly increased. YouTube is the 4th leading website that drives traffic to Diet.com.

What are you looking to do in the future?
In the future, we look to continue uploading fitness and health videos for people online free of charge.

My name is Michelle Phan. I am a makeup artist. I applied for Partners in December of 2008. I heard about a few success stories about how Youtubers made a good living off of the Partners Program. I thought I could give it a try!

How has being a YouTube Partner helped your business or personal life? How has YouTube changed your business or personal life?
Absolutely. The Partners Program helped me financially. I've been able to invest more into my personal business (skin care line) because of Partners Program and my personal life has definitely changed for the better. I'm able to support my entire family because of Youtube Partner and was able to move out to Los Angeles to expand my career. Youtube has also help me catch Lancome's attention. They hired me this year as their online ambassador/spokesperson and official video makeup artist. This is the first time a large luxury makeup artist hired anyone online.

What results have you seen since you were accepted into the program?
I've noticed I became more serious and professional with my videos. I didn't think creating videos online would become a career and a full time job! My subscription rate also exploded when I signed up for Partners. Something I wasn't expecting at all.

What are you looking to do in the future?
Perhaps TV. But I want to merge Online TV with Mainstream Media. I definitely want to keep what I'm doing online, but I would love to draw a new audience, mainly the mainstream media audience because online content is so different. It's less about the packaging and more about the content. I want to create a strong brand in the beauty industry and become an even bigger success story. Something like Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier. Help as many girls as I possibly can. I also want to expand in Asia. I wish Asia could open their doors to Youtube because Todou and Yoku. Even though people download my videos and reupload them online in Asia, it's not the same because I am not a personality in Asia as I am here on Youtube. It's because of the community. Asia needs a strong community to build personality and content. Lastly, I would love to amp up a new level with beauty videos. Make it more interactive. Perhaps have it so people can click on a brush I'm using or an eyeshadow I'm wearing and it'll redirect them to the makeup store. That would be a great way to generate more revenue.
