I'm sure this has been posted before but I decided to post again to help some people out
U can use green poison or red snow and other things like that

A way easier way is to go to jailbreakme .com strait from ur iPhone or iPod touch...
It only took me around 15 minutes to download Cydia strait from my iPod !!!!!
I hoped this helped!
