Take it apart and clean off the laser

msg me and ill set ya up brah.

Not true, its an easy fix:
1. Open your tray with the disk in
2. Close tray
3. As soon as it closes lean your xbox face down on a soft surface(Carpet). Tap it on the ground light. When i say face down i mean with the power button and tray facing the ground. This will rattle your disc laser and make it slide back down into the correct position.
4. Make sure you do step 3 while its reading the disk. It may take a few seconds to read it but it should work. After it reads it just set it back up like you had it.,

Well if you knew anything, you would know that the disc is held together inside by a magnet. You would also know that over time, that magnet looses its electrical charge and the laser also gets weak. therefore the laser cant shoot the light through the diode to read the media on the disc because the magnetic force isnt holding the disk in place.

A carpet? Are you kidding me man? The Motherboard is a 12V board. any static electricity would fry that damn thing so fast.

all in all, he does need a new disc drive. Dont listen to the seahorse.

I do it ALL of the time. Quit trying to sound smart you probably googled it. And you just want him to buy something from you.
