hey all so recently my external hard drive failed and i had to go through the trouble of trying to recover all of my files, problem was i didn't wanna pay for software so looked around for a few free ones.
thought id just let you guys know which ones are good in case you get into a pickle like I did :
Software
1. Recuva - Its ok for getting small sized files back but not for large quantities, this can be downloaded from >> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
2. Glary Undelete - Pretty easy to use and is great for getting files of large sizes back great GUI download from here >> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
3. Pandora Recovery - will undelete files from hard drives, memory cards, etc. Any device on your PC that stores data..very good also download >> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
4. SoftPerfect File Recovery - Similar to Glary and its super easy to use and has the best wizard to help you undelete files...download >> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
5. ADRC Data Recovery Tools - ADRC Data Recovery Tools should be able to undelete files from any non-CD/DVD storage device like memory cards and USB drives, as well as hard drives, of course..download >> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
I used a combination of these tools and they helped me get most of my stuff back...so if you know of any more please post them thanks
