Solved: I just need to let it load for 20 seconds
Im not usually the one to ask for help, but I cannot figure out what is wrong with my cod4
First of all, im on the 3.55 Kmaeo Jailbreak and have been using multi-man
I was trying to mod my call of duty: Modern warfare
I decided to copy the game to the internal HDD.
I pressed on cod4 and said no to the direct boot and I went to the XMB.
I tried two different ways, first I went to last game played, then I just went to the disk.
When the game loaded up, all there was, was a black screen with the call of duty: Modern Warfare Logo and the console freezes (picture in spoiler below)
I was thinking, it might of been that the game did not copy properly.
So, I turned off my console and started the disk up without using the backup, the same black screen and logo appeared and the console froze once again.
I tried moving a patch into the cod4 backup game and it still showed the same results.
I also tried putting a few different patches in hoping it would fix it (could not find a default one) but no luck.
I deleted the backup and tried the disk and it still did not work.
So, I went into FTP once again and tried moving a patch into the disk, which it would not let me and said that "file failed".
By the way, a few weeks back the disk was working fine, even a back up I had worked, also.. I remember trying to mod the backup but had the wrong region and it would show a black screen so I just deleted that.
So does anyone have any idea why my disk and the backup were/still are having this problem with my disk only booting into the picture above >.<
Help will be greatly appreciated, please only post if you have something useful to say.

1 question, are you online with 3.55? teach me your way lol
and I have had some problems with my Cod 4 also. I reset my router and everything loaded up right, sometimes it is just a connection problem.

I have the same problem!
After testing one of my consoles im selling the game wouldnt load and it would freeze. Im not even joking.

Ok ive been searching an called up some people who had same error
itsays if not game scrachd it may be a tu update issue some report after a title update
game frooze with cod4 logo? well they just uninstalled an clear catche n re-update try
hope it helps
-Uninstall game
-clear tu updates
-clear system cache
-turn off system
-reset router
-turn all back in
- re-install all
-run game
Hope it works if not reply and ill keep searching an call up some tech n see if theirs anything else that an help

Of course im online its quite easy.
Seems that a couple of people are having problems with this, thanks for response ill try resetting router in a min

My opinion just re burn an patch a new one but make sure every things patched correctly before u burn so not to waist disks.
Im not talking about a burnt disk, Im talking about a real copy of the game.

I have the same issue when I try and play my back up of cod4. I've heard that it can't be played as a back up but by only the disk! If the disk still doesn't work then try doing a quick system format, save all impotent files of course, then just do the process over again! Same thing happened to me, my game disc, when I tried to play mw2 as a backup. It would never work and neither did the disc afterwards. I just done a restore and it worked again.
Also, if anyone has cod4 as a backup and you are able to play it then please post how you got it to work.
