Lets start with this: why do people mod? They are unsatisfied with the game, usually. What do they do about it? They mod it.

Some examples that require only a USB and a normal Xbox 360:

GPD modding
Gamertag modding
Avatar modding
Gamerscore modding

Here are some that require a jtag (A modified Xbox 360 that allows you to run code that is not signed by Xbox. This code is usually referred to as homebrew.):

Emulators
Mod games such as the CoD or Halo series
Much much more can be done with a jtag

How do you go about GPD modding? I'm on youtube and people are releasing GPD patches for lobbies and whatnot.
