Hello, Ive made a thread like this before, but everyone flamed it and then it fell back into the scores of dead threads. Guess theres not many writers here :/ But anyway, im here to post some poetry of mine, and if you like it, comment and tell me, and if you want to share some poetry, or want some help go ahead.

I write with rhyme, i cant do freeverse, it doesnt work for me.

A new day.
The people today could care less

if the world were to end tommorrow

as long as they had money and were happy today

as long as they feel no pain or sorrow.

Their children however, will come forth

and completely change their ways,

They'll end the selfishness

and bring with them a new day,

Where everyones happy,

and the sun shines brighter,

Where theres a cure for cancer

and people smile wider.

Where theres no hate or discrimination

Where no ones at war with another nation

Where the world is perfect all around,

Does anyone know what im sayin?

Where no one is hypricritical in what they say

and no one tells you what to think and believe,

This is the world for a new day,

People just need to open their eyes and see.

Masks

Put on a mask

for the feeling today

Every feelings different

But the masks are all the same.

For each mask there is an emotion

Hiding under itself.

Suffocating, wanting to be free,Wanting to scream and yell.

Mask of happiness

to hide the fact

youre really dieing inside,From being lonely and sad.

Mask of Bravery

to hide the emotion of fear.

To look as if you're the biggest and baddest

when really you're no-where near.

You're masks are starting to break though

I can see right through the cracks and holes

I can see bits of the hidden feelings

And it seems I can see right into your soul.

See now, how your mask is breaking?

And once its gone, it can never be repaired.

Everyone will know, and will ask, and will talk.

Everyone will see what is really under there.


We'll see the real you

And all you truly are

You can't hide anymore

What's done, is now a scar.

You whisper your lies

Your rumours of hate

But then ask for forgivness

No, it's too late.

Battle

Hurt and Broken

feeling low,

yet your heart's still sinkin

as far as it will ever go.

Waiting for something

that you know will never come

but you try anyway

with hope that youll find the one.

The one to make you happy,

the one to hold you tight

When all your fears catch up to you

And haunt you in the night.

I hope they'll fight for you

until their end has come

that they'll risk it all

until the battle's won.


Highlight

Basically I care for you

more than anything else

but the thing is, I need to look at myself

And see the faults of a relationship with you.

It wouldnt work, plain and simple

It would all end too soon.

But I would love every second of it

because I love every bit of you

Theres not a point in trying

because you wont do a thing,

just sit back and watch me suffer

and feel the pain and sting.

Doesnt seem like you care at all

You dont really say much about it

you just listen to me talk to you

and you're silent when im having a fit.

And then when you talk, I spend all my time listening, caring

but for what? Just more hate and complaining...

But I keep on trying, no matter what

Cause its a strong feeling im feeling...

Words of hate come from your mouth

Words of love come from mine

Words of wisdom from my friends

Telling me other stars will shine.

But i would become an astronaught

just for this one star

To watch and understand it

would be the highlight of my life by far.

And my newest one, You shouldve known (Its not done)

I did everything right,

and if not, I tried with all my might.

To make it happen, to make it right

But theres no use in working for a future so far outta sight.

So far away; its all rushing away,

And now, to you, I have nothing to say.

It might happen another day

Actually, sorry honey, theres just no way.

Not tonight, not tomorrow,

not ever, so let it go.

The look on your face, its like woah

Don't act surprised, you should've known.
