An injured swan that was frozen to the ground as it sat in a driveway overnight has been rescued by the concerned homeowner.

A young swan found at 6am with its feet frozen to Mr Gilbert's drive
Jack Gilbert said his son discovered the stricken animal when he left the house to travel to London at 6am on Tuesday morning.
He was able to free the bird by pouring warm water around it and melting the ice that was attaching it to the surface of the drive, but it only moved a few yards before stopping again.
Mr Gilbert noticed that its left leg appeared to be damaged, and asked Bishops Wood Swan Rescue, a Worcestershire-based voluntary group, to come and collect it.
