just finished mixing 3 old dell Demension 4600's. only one of them worked but it just needed a new hard drive, disc tray, more ram (in my opinion, it had 256mb), and lots of dusting :p now i have installed full blown ubuntu(no dual boot) and got 2 gb of ram. runs great. i got a very crappy monitor so it looks kinda bad but who gives. all in all for my first project its not to bad.

In your opinion it only had 256mb of RAM? Whoa, since when is the amount of RAM a computer has not a fact and something that changes based on thought? Not to mention there's usually a sticker or marking on the stick that states how much it is.
