If your banned I'm pretty sure you could still download the dash I got mine working, I went to test xbox live connection and while it was testing the update message pooped up and it worked from there

I think it's because of the servers. I didn't have the new dash when it was leaked yet I still had problems connecting to Xbox LIVE today when I had to update. Got it working finally.

go to system settings- then go to text xbox live connectin and test it- half way through the update should appear, when it does clikc yes update now and it should work.

That happened for me the first couple tries, try to reset your router.. It could be your connection.

i had same problem on the new xbox i got the leaked dash a few months ago, i plugged in the network adapter for the old 360 and it worked!
