Hey Guys,

I built my last PC, and it was quite an interesting process considering I had previously only built pre-built systems. At the time, I was told by multiple people that the build I have currently was great for its time, while also considering budget. Now with that said its been some time. I also ran into some issues with my motherboard quite a while ago, and I had to warranty it out for a new one because the motherboard just failed completely. I am kind of in a dilemma, because quite a while ago I started to get back into gaming and streaming, as well as content creation which goes alongside my actual job and work. So I don't know if it would be easier and cheaper to upgrade using currently what I have or if its even worth to do so, or just build a new one and sell parts from current build. Below are the specs for my current build:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50Ghz (Haswell 22nm Technology)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 (4GB)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme 3 (Haswell Model)
RAM: G. SKILL PC3-12800 16GB UDIMM 1600 MHz PC3-12800 DDR3 Memory
SSD: Crucial 250GB SSD
Storage: WD 1 TB Drive
Power Supply: CORSAIR CX Series CX600 600W 80 PLUS BRONZE

With that said, I know the computer is still decent even with the aging of the computer and still does fine at running certain games at max graphics, and others at high if not ultra. The problem I have ran into is streaming, as well as content creation. I also have frame rate drops and issues on games like PUBG, Fortnite, COD, Battlefield, and other games. What I am looking to do is know if any of this is salvageable, and upgrade from what I have or just buy a new pc and sell the parts.

Personally, I would prefer to just build a new system and stay up to date with the new technology, but also try to save some money if I can upgrade. Other than that I do have a keyboard, mouse, monitor. I would like to go all out on this computer and make sure it can handle anything I can throw at it, but again I don't want to overkill it by any means. I would just like to be able to create, stream, upload, graphic stuff for work, as well as game with out having to worry about FPS issues, bottle necking, an other means of issues that I am currently running into. Any information from anyone with experience and better knowledge of computer builds, equipment, and computers nowadays would be helpful so I can make up my mind.

EDIT: I guess I should add that I was interested in getting this monitor (Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor: AW2518HF) and before I do I want to make sure I get a good monitor that can support the 240hz as well as the FPS.) If you can tell, I know a little bit about computers and building but not that much. Any help is appreciated.
