And yes, if there is an existence of alien life (which I'm quite sure there is), we would be the 'aliens' to them.

Well if there is life out there then yes we are aliens to them. So I'd say yes!!

The term "Alien" is a human construct, if there are other life forms they are NOT "Aliens" or "ETs" they are there own species. I will list some common known species below for example now persoanlly I do belive in aliens I actually have a large interest in ufology and the whole "alien" phenomena but everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Edit: I just read where you say if we get the technology to travel to other planets and we need resources would we invade another species on there home planet well thats a 50\50 for me because if he wave the tech to do inter-planetary travel why would we invade another species rather then looking for a dead planet that could have the same raw materials but then again I guess we may be sol and have to go to a planet with a civilization on it because no other planet will have it I guess only time will tell but unfortunately I dont think it will happen during our lifetime.

Cool question to start, but I absolutely think we'd try to take that shit. I'd argue that Earth as a general population is greedy. I mean it is human nature to be greedy so I think out of fear of the unknown at first we humans would struggle to find means of unification with aliens, therefore leading us to desire control of them (and their resources). There would be internal chaos about whether or not its right, if we're not all robots or controlled by the time this could happen. I think we're all going to be dead by be the time we're able to contact alien life and our grandchildren will be dead by the time we'd need to take control of another planet for its resources.
