Are you looking to build it yourself, or buy a prebuilt?

There is a shortage of GPU's, so the prices have been skyrocketing. This is a idea of what you would be able to do with $600. And this is a build yourself. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Thanks man I really appreciate! Just curious say I wanted a pre built PC around $500 to $700 what's the best build around that price right now?

There is a lot of different things you can buy on places like newegg. It's personally the best place to buy anything. For your price point this is one of the best [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

That is utter trash. The absolute only reason to buy a pre-built would be if you're getting a Ryzen or Coffee Lake CPU with an RX 570/580 tier GPU for under $800 or so. Even then, you're buying in to a shit system which will likely have a shitty motherboard, storage options, case, PSU, and barebones on the RAM.

While there is a severe lack of GPUs at any reasonable price, there are still better options than buying a pre-built. Either buy a used GPU, or build a system without GPU and add a GPU later.

OP - I'm gonna say buy a used GPU. With $750, you can get a fairly decent system if you buy a used GPU, but that's assuming you can find a decent card at a reasonable price used. So, I'd say get something like this;

CPU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($199.78 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($87.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($79.89 @ OutletPC)
Case: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($50.54 @ Amazon)
Total: $588.18

H310/B360/H370 motherboards should be releasing very soon, so if you can hold on and get one of those instead of the Z370 motherboard, you'll be able to save $40-50 easily. Otherwise, the Z370 mobo will have to do. You could drop the i5 to an i3-8100 to save another $70 if you really wanted, but you lose 2 cores(not a HUGE deal, but I'd personally rather just pay the extra $70 for i5).

Last I checked, GTX 970s were selling for $140-150 used, I imagine they've gone up in price a bit but they shouldn't be too hard to find for <$170-180, I did see a GTX 980 sell for $200 pretty recently. So, try to find a GTX 970 in the $150-175 range, stick it in this system and you're good to go. Check out [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] as you tend not to see stuff being posted there that is ridiculously over priced, unlike eBay and Craiglist and what not.
