The title pretty much asks the question for me. By "internal hard drive", I'm talking about the hard drive that you shove into the slot where a Microsoft-banded hard drive would normally go on an Xbox 360 S console. If it's not possible, what is the highest amount of storage possible to use?

I'm not to sure on that, i use a 1TB External hard drive for my RGH.

Quick question though; Why do you need 8TB?

I love the absolute piss out of the 360. My retail was recently console banned. Was going to get my console RGH'd, customised completely, and then upgrade the hard drive on it so I could store an ass-tonne of games and DLC on it without storage issues. I'm not the type of person who likes to sell my old consoles.

Yeah, true. I have around 150(ish) games on my RGH console. It takes me to around 470-530GB.

8TB would be a waste of money my man, if you want a lot go for either 500GB, 1TB or 2TB.

I have 500GB already and I'm nearly out of space. I think I have 40-something gigabytes left.

I dont know the difference between internal and external as far as limitations on Xbox One, but you can have a maximum of 16tb (2x8Tb) with external drives. From what I understand you already have an 8tb xbox 360 hdd, so Id say go for it if you can figure out how to connect it.

I don't know. Maybe it might be a big waste. I think I read something about the whole 360 game library being somewhere around 11TB. I just wanted to be prepared for when 360 finally dies. =(

I don't have an 8TB already. I was looking to get one for my console, or maybe a bit smaller, I'm not sure. I asked about insanely large storage just to see which boundaries I could push.

2tb works for sure

If you need more space get an external hdd down the road.

If you're wanting to get it for the soul purpose of you love Xbox, and just want to play every single game you can then go for it. If you enjoy the 360 you do it! I I loved 360, i still do. So when i was purchasing my HDD from a friend i made sure he put as much games as he could on it. He put an average of 70 games. I found another 60-80 and i still play them when i get bored.
