F-22 wrote I have anger, depression, anxiety, add, adhd, and pretty sure I'm an alcoholic have been ruthless lately. I punch my keyboard, i break stuff.

You can go to your local anger-mangerment classes or go to a professional to seek help if you want to improve as a person, by excising and it works. It wont solve the issue but it works. I also have Anxiety and it's a bitch. I suffer with it everyday is some what. Do you help yourself and go out for works, do a bit of sport now and again?

Try to moderate the alcohol for a start, alcohol is a depressant so whilst being drunk gives quite a numbing sensation to the world around you, it only ever makes you feel worse in the long run. Avoid mixers too, things like Vodka-Redbull are horrendous to the system.

If you feel yourself getting worked up and a bit edgy, figure out why and think how you can prevent it. Go outside for a breather, have a glass of water, cool down, play a game, listen to music etc..

Before seeing a doctor, I'd write down the things that you're experiencing so if you find yourself not too confident when talking to the doctor, you can give him/her the list of things and then they can try and talk to you in a better way than trying to force answers out of you.

Hi, F-22. I'll attach a link to a topic I made where you'll find some helpful sites about mental health, including the Suicide Hotline.

Since you're seeing a doctor on Monday, is it a psychologist? If so, don't be afraid to express yourself with them; that's what they're paid to do: listen and help the patient.

The issue with a lot of this is we go to the doctor and they say we are depressed or what ever, or even some random person says it and we believe them. The funny thing about the brain is that we become what ever we believe. If you just focus on the good then your "depression" will get better and so will your anger issues.

For example, I was working on a very delicate 15th century piece that was worth an estimated $40k. I made the mistake of thinking it could rest on my bench but it was barely to wide and fell off the bench and broke a spindle. You can get pissed off that you might've just made an expensive mistake or think it's a great learning opportunity not only to make sure everything is solid on your bench but you also have to look at is now you get to learn how to either repair the spindle or make a new one. Based on the age and value of the piece, I learned how to repair it.

There was a point in my life where I was deeply depressed, suicidal (to the point I did try to kill myself) and had (still have) anger issues. I tried the seeing a doctor thing but it didn't work for me, I just have an issue with someone thinking they understand me and can fix my issues. Typical teenager crap, right? I knew that wasn't going to work and something needed to change so I just started looking at what got me so angry. What I found was I over analyze things and start thinking about the "what ifs" both before and after an event. Before being how I could've changed it, and after being what might happen. I started with just forgetting about that and taking everything at face value and finding any little bit of good in bad events. With that I started learning a lot more, my anger issues aren't resolved but they are much better, and that made me happier which in my mind got me out of depression however if I went to a doctor I know they'd still say I'm depressed.

My tip to you would honestly be just stop thinking about it and focus on positive things. Your brain is very strong so the more you say you're depressed, have issues, etc. the more you actually have them and the harder it is to get out of that rut. Just stop thinking about that and focus on all the good things in your life (and right now don't think that's a bunch of BS and say there's nothing good in life because I know that's what you're thinking). Also another big thing I'd focus on is stop drinking. Alcohol is not only a depressant but it's also expensive lol.
