You will be able to run emulators on the console even if you get it RGH'd. If you want a JTAG it will depend on if your console is JTAGable or not, If you have no experience with JTAGing/RGHing consoles I wouldn't mess with it, i'd send it to a professional + If the console is JTAGable it is worth more then any other console that can just be RGH'd. I'd send a message to Rodent and let him check it out, as he has way more knowledge on stuff like this then I do.

You can still run emulators with an rgh, its way better and updated, jtags are outdated versions and I don't like them, try looking at rodents to figure some more stuff out

If you are just doing one console it is best if you just send it to one of the trusted sellers to mod. The items you need to be able to rgh/jtag it cost more than their serivces. Plus you will know it's done correctly, and you don't have to worry about destroying your Xbox. Just be the description you gave I would say it is a xenon motherboard.
