im looking to make my own rainmeter skin but im not really sure how to start this.
what im looking to do is to have a symbol in the center of my screen that when i hover over it it grows to show 4 other symbols. symbolizing games documents pictures and projects witch i can make them in Photoshop or what ever {on a side note that if i click on the center symbol it stays grown and if i click it again it closes} and when i hover over one of the side it slides open a whole new panel with a cretin shape that show all my applications. that obliviously open the application when clicked on i cant do that part easily.
but what im not finding any information on is how to open and close these panels making them look like there coming from the previous symbol if any one has any experience id love to talk and any help is appreciated

OP:
So if I understand what you are asking, you want a icon that will sit in the center of the screen like this:
And then when you hover over/click on the icon it glows and shows four icons like this:
From there will those icons link to a folder, or will you want another menu that pop up that lists the games, files, and other things?
As far as starting this project out, I would recommend some videos on how to get the basics of what you want. From what I have seen on youtube, the scripting language for the actual skin itself is in LUA.

Thanks for all the help i managed to accomplish what i wanted im just having trouble making it look good with photoshop
