Why are you getting hit offline? There are other ways of making sure you don't show off your IP, like turning off Skype. Playing on reliable gaming servers rather than using peer-to-peer.
But if you must use a VPN then please, purchase a well known one. Free VPNs are unreliable and unsecure. If you want your data to be safe never use them.

Free VPN's are fine if you like everything monitored. Scrap together some money and buy PIA. You're getting hit, so eh pay $5-15 for a vultr server setup open VPN and add DDoS protection you're good for ~50GB/s attacks.

Do not use HMA if you have any self respect whatsoever. Use a service like PIA or AirVPN (They're both cheap, reliable, and safe to use). With the AirVPN Eddie client you get lots of cool features like SSH/SSL tunneling, reliable network safety lock, TCP/UDP over many different ports, and alot more. If you want simplicity PIA is a great choice. Somewhere on Reddit there's a chart of diff VPN providers and how they stack up.

I'm interested in what's bad with HMA? Do they do DNS leaks or something?
