I'm not entirely sure if I would purchase this myself, but I do find it interesting I saw the video on facebook the other day and think it is a really good idea.

Secrets wrote If only we could get this technology to be readily available in 3rd world countries.

I believe that is eventually the plan as they are making a "test Village" in Italy. And China has built the first apartment complex with one, So I would say its pretty safe to say these 3D printed houses are a pretty legit thing.

And I would certainly live in one myself no doubt

Maybe in the future this could be a regular thing and hand built houses are a thing of the past.

- Image the implications of job losses because of this though

The concept is none the less valid as can be. But the subjective downside to all of this. Once you get to taxing the house, and paying for labor of electronic, plumbing, and appliance installation. You are still looking in the long run for a hefty fee to be fair, because you would have to have land taxes as well, can't just build these in the middle of the streets.

Funny part is, there is a guy printing a castle, seen the project posted somewhere before. Now if i knew this was a future proofed concept i could look into it, but the spacing would have to be better.. OR add stories.

I don't see them lasting as long as predicted maybe a few years if they are lucky, it isn't heavy concrete we are talking about here it is a special blend to not clog a printing tube upon rest..
