I don't eat much fast food, I don't drink soda, I hate alcohol, I play basketball 3 hours a day followed by a lift workout followed by a mile on the treadmill, but I do need to stop eating junk food/carbs/eating at 11 at night lol

You dont need that much cardio tbh. If you are looking to lose weight then I would stick to cardio at 3 times a week or so if you are trying to maintain muscle and around an hour a day if you arent. Counting your calories using the myfitnesspal app will help a lot, though it's tedious. Also if you want to put on muscle I would wait till after you are done losing weight as you won't gain much size at all during your cut.

Cardio never hurts though? That's the majority of my exercise (I run track/xc) and I stay at a low weight. Lower than I'd like honestly, but I really can't get into lifting, it just feels so tedious.

Anyways, cardio is probably one of the best ways to lose weight from my experience, watching peers joining the track team, putting in all of the effort, and losing an exceptional amount of weight. Someone a year older than me lost over 100 pounds from freshman year to senior year of highschool just by running and eating a bit better. That's all of the advice I have for you. Start with walking if you're not into running, that's how my mom lost a bit of weight, just walking for about 30 minutes a day.
Good luck man, and stick to the plan you layout yourself.

Fasted cardio or regular cardio will help but working out is 30% of getting a better body and the other 70% is eating right

Dieting is 85%, working out is 15%. If you go do a killer workout and then go eat fast food instead of the protein you need, you aren't going to see any results.

If trying to lose weight only than cardio is fine whether it be HIIT etc. But when trying to preserve muscle too much cardio can have negative effects and actually force your body go break down muscle for energy. Before I started lifting I was overweight and borderline obese until I did cardio for an hour a day everyday.

Keto diet would work for you just consume 50 or less grams of carbs a day and making up your calories from meats best with chicken, and snack on nuts all through the day to meet your fat content.

Fastest way I know and use to drop bodyfat.

Any quetions on a structure for the diet just message me.
