Can anyone lead me in a direction to help me start DJ'ing. I need nothing fancy as of now, just what will I need to start? What are some good music softwares, speakers, and anything else needed?

*I do not wanna mix or anything right now, just have speakers and music to play*

just get fl studio for now and just learn the basics before you splash out on extra shit. You might hate it once you start.

Get like a midi keyboard too it's not that expensive

Hey jtagrookieuser,

I started a few months back myself.

I currently use Serato DJ. One of the most popular and one of the best out there. Used by a lot of professionals and perfect for beginners too. (This is either roughly £8 a month if you do not want to buy a full licensee. Or is £80 for the full thing, and you yours to keep. If you do the month by month payment, you never own Serato license. It is worth buying.)

This is what it looks like:

It'll look different when you have your controller connected as it will show two disc looking things at the top of the screen to represent records.

As for a controller for a beginner I would recommend to DDJ SB2.

This can be found via the pioneer website. When I started, I picked mine up in store locally to me for £199.

As for speakers, the Pioneer DJ speakers DM-40 speakers are great. Sounds perfect and not had any troubles with them myself.

After all this you need relevant splitters to connect to both speakers and laptop.

Any more questions dont hesitate to ask bud. Shoot me a PM.

Kieran,
