People are immature at a young age. It's quite simple. There's no need for any derogatory remarks between the sexes. Modern day disrespect is just an internet version of old day disrespect. The people you see online are your age, and when they grow up they'll realise how stupid they've been and change their ways.

So are we just going to ingore the fact that A LOT of females also do these exact same things to males?

What you have said in this post just simply is not true.


If you use twitter you see a lot of posts from females about guys must be over 6ft or must have a six pack or they are a piece of shit and all the replies are girls saying how relevant and accurate it is.

If a guy says something along the lines of how a girl must look then all the replies are females saying how sexist and disrespectful it is.

Women are not these innocent little flowers society has portrayed them to be. Yes they are physically weaker than a male, but they are mentally stronger. One thing I'll tell you about respect or lack thereof is it is usually earned. You have to do something stupid to lose someones respect.

As far as the nudes situation, it is her fault. What in the hell do you think is going to happen when you send them over the internet? If she didn't do it, it wouldn't be an issue. Does that mean it's right for the guy to put the picture(s) out for everyone else to see? Of course not. Blame goes both ways though, you have to look past the action and look at the reason for the cause.

A nice guy can have confidence, a nice guy can be a leader, and a nice guy can do anything he wants. By the way, what constitutes a "nice guy"? Either way, the guy that is single and says "nice guys finish last" is also the guy who is mad because Becky chose Jake over him, but when his friend asks if he ever asks her out, he says no.

What about disrespect towards men? I've seen women manipulate and destroy men till the point they kill themselves.

As far as "disrespect" for a certain gender, it goes both ways and it usually stems from one bad relationship. A guy gets his heart broke, suddenly he hates all women, they're all the same, they don't deserve respect, ect. A girl gets her heart broke, it's usually the same deal.

I will say this, I do not care about your gender, race, religious views, sexual orientation, or any other socially defining aspect of your existence. If you do not respect yourself, I will not respect you.

People grow up certain ways, and thats how they are and will be. Nothing will change really. It's not okay to do it but some people don't care. But most men are notlike that

If the worst thing women have to deal with is being called bad words I would say they got it pretty made.. Send nudes to a dickhead then yeah they are going to be exposed. Would you find it better if we reverted time back to when women were stoned upon SUSPICION of cheating or being a witch?

I completely agree with you man. Women are sometimes treated badly but it is just part of life. I have yet to see one man that has made a rant because a feminist has said bad words to them.

Honestly, I don't think using social media or even the internet is really a good example of disrespect towards women; it's the internet, someone will shit talk you for being disabled if they want to. On the internet for the most part you're hidden through anonymity, people will say and do things on the internet that they won't do in real life. That person who calls a female any provocative name or says she should be raped, most of the time won't actually say it to a woman's face.

The nudes that you mention is a whole different story. You mentioned teenage, that alone should be the keyword of that whole subject. Is it the sender's fault they got leaked, whether male or female? No. It's the immature person who received who leaked it and in some cases if it's hacked like what has happened to celebrities in the past. Teenagers are always going to want to brag, I would say guys are more inclined in this area than females, but not everyone is the same. I think these scenarios (in bold) are more for crushes or someone they're sleeping around with, but even in a relationship it could honestly just play the part of wanting to brag. A male who gets a nude might get the "brilliant" idea to show it all to his friends "look what I just got" "look who I'm with." ect. Females can be the same, they might want to show their friends their new crush or gossip about "that hot guy" or whatever. It's immaturity to leak things like that regardless of the gender and if it's going past a teenager, say someone in their 30's, then they're still immature and lack trust.

Disrespecting women isn't okay, just where you have been seeing it, mostly online, it's something that a person can get away with. Yes, it happens in the real world to, but I would argue a lot of those goes unnoticed such as abusive relationships. I grew up and lived in Russia until I was 13, and have lived in America for almost 9 years, and I have seen the same amount of respect towards women in both countries in person, but us Russian men take things a little too far it seems. When I was younger on the bus with my grandfather there was a woman who was boarding the bus and had to stand due to all the seats being filled, every man accept for one stood up and offered her a seat, the one that didn't stand up brought attention to himself which resulted in a literal brawl because he was not at least offering her a seat. Over there you're honestly expected to treat women very highly and in some cases male children are taught by their families to treat women with higher respect than males because if it were not for them, we wouldn't be there; not in the terms of you need a woman to give birth but the fact of how much a woman can bring a man up and provide him with things he can't provide for himself.

inb4 "you guys beat them when you're drunk." Yeah, that happens anywhere if a person gets violent when drunk but I remember reading something when I was in school about what makes Russian women strong, but I will use context of women in general for this. I don't remember it exact but it was along the lines of "She is strong enough to admit her mistakes, she is strong enough to put herself through struggles to ensure her family gets by, she has the burden of being confronted by the violent man when he is drunk; through it all she has the inner most strength to be able to show a man his true inner potential, to show how strong he can become with her but also show how weak he is without her."

Anyways, I went way off subject. Am I saying people from other countries can't respect women? No. I have seen my fair share of people getting very protective over a women, even if it gets violent; hell I would too if someone started disrespecting my fiance. Women are disrespected, yes. Men are disrespected, yes. Everyone gets disrespected in their life, just online it's seen more as "okay to do" because people can get away with it since they're behind a screen and for the most part won't have to worry about it biting them in the ass or even be brought into the real world. There are still a lot of people out there who wouldn't take that shit, even if that woman is a stranger, friend, partner/lover or family, a lot of people would still fight against them being disrespected. The women who are disrespected/abused and it continues to happen is because they either feel trapped or think that's all their good for, but most of the time that stuff goes unnoticed or is covered up as much as possible.
