i got an LG slim dvd drvie rw and i have the sims 3 games on cd and i wanted to revisit them. I got this LG from my friend which he had a laptop and it worked on his computer we are both on windows 10. also my sims 3 games are on my origin account but i have an expansion pack i want to play but it is redeemed on my back up account :/

have you tried installing the drivers. Better yet turning it on and off

Hook it up to another computer and see if it happens on that, if so then it may be an issue with the CD drive itself
