So I finally got my driver's license and ID for the first time in the mail after like a 2 month wait. I'm just wondering why it says they both expire this year? I've checked my families and friends expiration date and they expire in years from now like 2020. Why does mine say it expires this year? Should I call the DMV? Like I've said this is my first license (new driver) and I've only had it for a few days. (Pasted my driver's test late November)

What state are you in?
Could be that it is a provisional license.
Need more information to give a good answer here.
Also, google could probably get you a faster and better answer lol.

It expires in one year as it's a probationary license, meaning there are restrictions. Once the year is up you will receive a provisional license.

I never got a probationary license. My first license lasted me till the end of this year.
