This award is about popularity not skill level are actually how good his music is.

Yes he is overrated, his music is "decent" to say the least. Award winning artists doesn't really mean much, you have to think that is popular vote not "YOUR" opinion.
To me he is average. Nothing special a lyricist who can keep a decent flow, but you can see that anywhere really.

This thread is full of butthurt rap fans and I love it. G-eazy is alright, not the best, but he's obviously got a big enough of a supporting to rise like he has, which means he can't be that bad.
