Okay so I wrote this song about a year ago, laid down the vocals and mixed it myself. I tend to get some what good feedback from it and I feel really good about the song, quality wise and lyrically. I ask you guys for help to give it a listen and give me some sincere honest feedback. I take music seriously and like to gather opinions to maximize my strengths and eliminate my weaknesses.

It seems a little too long, doesn't really grab my attention. but keep up the work man, you will get there.

"Taking wins like W, we want W's. Hope we don't get in trouble boo." Kinda wack man feel like you could do better than that.

Your flow isn't matching with the song imo, the beats good but I feel like you are trying to hard to let the words come out of your mouth.
The chorus is much better, and sounds right. The drop at 2:00 is good too, the rapping sounds a bit better around there but it could sound amazing if you went back and changed some things up.

I don't know though I'm no musician.

Not really feeling it man, not my type of music.

Sidenote, I was friends with XXYYXX aka Marcel for quite sometime throughout middle/high school. He was a cool dude but we fell off.

There's no thought they goes into the words you're saying. It comes across as a warm-up or freestyle. Is the song about your innocence? If it is why are you talking about pleading the fifth and why is the song called Stick Up?


There's potential for you to get better and make some good music, so I hope you take on board some of the suggestions here.
