I've finally decided its about time for a monitor upgrade!
So could anyone suggest/link me to a good monitor, I'll probably end up getting 2 of them aswell.
I'm asking because I'm not too sure about all the refresh rate etc lol
Budget is around $700 for both monitors

It's not just for my PC, it'll be used for when Xbox 'Scorpio' comes out aswell.
Main specs:
I5 4690k
EVGA GTX 970
As for games, I play FPS's like Overwatch and Arma and stuffs

4K, 3440x1440 ultrawide, or 1440p 144Hz. Its all personal preference really. One will be plenty. If you want a second monitor, grab a cheap 1080p IPS monitor. No need to spend more than $100-120 for a 1080p monitor.

One more thing: Are curved monitors worth having a look at? I would like one but the fact they don't come small is off-putting as I really don't want a big monitor for gaming

Just because it's 4K and $300 doesn't meant it's good. Sure, $300 isn't bad for a 4K panel, but it sucks, that's why it's cheap. TN looks very bad. If OP is to get a 4K monitor, IPS is the way to go.

Make sure you don't get the multi input model because it adds some input delay. You can get these under $200 shipped matte or glossy. They overclock well. Mine is at 110 Hz and I can probably hit 120 if I wanted to.
The best $700 monitor is three of these.
