hold the home button and lock button for 30 seconds, wait a minute then fire it back up and see if it works.

This happened to a friends phone and this cured it.

Another thing to try is getting a small needle or something of that nature and cleaning out some dirt and dust from your speakers and ports. Just had to do that recently on my phone as it was distorting the sound and making it hard for me to make calls.
