Hello guys,
Right before we start I will just say I was in Division 1 in FIFA 16 and quite easily scored 3-5 goals a game on average and conceded maybe 1, 2 goals if they got lucky.
But this game has me baffled, I cant seem to get the hang of it, I understand it's more about technical play and passing, build up the play but this one situation I cant figure out.
Eg' Lukaku as a Striker.
Build up play round the back and into midfield, I see a little gap appear in the defense, play a nice solid quick through ball.
Lukaku has run onto the ball, 30 yards from goal, It's not quickest player, but he's not slow.
Yet, some unknown defender can catch him and now take the ball by just running side by side and tackling me.
There must be a way I can fight back while running through on goal.
It's like when he's running his strength goes to like 10 instead of like 89 and the ball is 5 yards in front of him, thats how easy he is tackled.
Someone PLEASE help me!

Exact same situation here buddy. Really can't do anything!
Attacking i seem to get owned, and defending... well lets not even go there hahahah

Try to hold the ball off by using face off dribbling... Press LT+RT when you got the ball and wait for your players to make a run...

At least that works for me lol
I can do the shielding and waiting for players to come into play and make a run, its the situation I seem to find my self in when Im running through on goal.
No matter how quick or strong my player is, their defender is quicker and stronger.
Like there must be a way barge/push them back when running through on goal.
Just watch someone like Diego Costa and the way he runs while running through on goal, That type of play, shield the ball while running and not stopping.
