13 wrote Alright, well first of all, I'd absolutely return that 6800k, and get a 5820k instead, you'll save $50 and the 5820k is literally going to perform exactly the same as the 6800k at the same clock speeds. The 6800k isn't even an easier/better overclocker. I'd probably return that GPU as well, because you can save $20-$30 easily and get a different GTX 1070, maybe a ROG Strix from Asus, or one of EVGA's 1070's, but the GPU is fine, it's not really that necessary, unlike the CPU IMO.

I'd recommend something like this;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] / [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

CPU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Purchased For $432.79)
CPU Cooler: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($46.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($219.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Purchased For $0.00)
Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($54.50 @ Amazon)
Video Card: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Purchased For $439.99)
Case: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($79.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($77.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Monitor: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($289.95 @ B&H)
Total: $1752.18

The motherboard is white, so it doesn't really match your colour scheme, but it won't get in the way, it won't look ugly. If you want a more neutral coloured motherboard, you can get an MSI X99A SLI PLUS for $200. Nice, well-priced cooler to keep the CPU cool and let you overclock. RAM you have is fine. Nice big SSD, and a 2TB HDD. You can get a 1TB HDD instead if you want, but they're only like $15 or so cheaper. SLI support so you can easily add a 2nd GTX 1070 at any point if you want. Nice case with LEDs. If you want a better/higher end case, spend an extra $20 or so for the Phanteks Enthoo Pro. You're also going to want a nice monitor for this budget, I'd recommend 1440p 144Hz, 4k, or 3440x1440 but that would cost another $200-$250 or so, so the 1440p 60Hz monitor I suggested will do. It's a great monitor, I just feel like an enthusiast grade CPU and high end GPU deserve a higher end monitor.
I did update my comment before, instead of $1800 I bumped it to $2000. Do you think you could find a better monitor since you feel the PC would deserve better?

both 144hz.

They're also both 1080p, which is pitiful for OP's budget. They're also TN panels. IPS>TN.

So far I have:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

And I just ordered:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

i decided to upgrade the case, I liked this one. I also decided to get this monitor. 2560 x 1440 144Hz

I did not go with the 4K since I won't be able to really run every game in 4K with this build I do not think.

Would it be good to have a high Watt Power Supply, or will this one have no problem?

Enthoo EVOLV ATX is a great case. It's actually one of my favourite cases on the market. However, I'd have maybe just spent the extra $10 for the tempered glass version;

1440p 144Hz is harder to run than 4k is. 1440p 144Hz>4k>3440x1440, from hardest>easiest to run. A single GTX 1070 is fine for 1440p 60Hz. A single GTX 1070 will play 4k, 3440x1440, or 1440p 144Hz comfortably. A 2nd GTX 1070 would allow you to max any of those 3 options.

Agreed I really like this case, however I prefer the look of this one rather than the full temepered glass. Also the monitor I got, I looked at the reviews and they were terrible it seems. So I will probably get a different monitor. I might get another 1070 as well

I prefer the side panel on the non tempered glass version, and I don't like how the tempered glass version has it on both sides, I'd rather a solid side panel on the cable side. Tempered glass is kind of the 'in thing' right now though, so I'd have maybe spent the extra $10, since it's only $10. Doesn't matter though, it's not an issue.

1440p 144Hz would be fine if that's what you wanted, but running 1440p at 144FPS will be harder than running 4k at 60FPS, just so you know. That Asus ROG monitor isn't terrible, and G-Sync is definitely a nice addition, though not necessary.

The monitor itself is not terrible, but the reviews are complaining that the panels are terrible that a lot of back light is happening. They are also saying after 6 months it pretty much dies, the Monitor itself if it holds up is a great monitor I looked into it, but some people say it has no problems then others say it has problems so I guess it really just depends if the shipping process is delicate rather than rough and them just throwing it around.

But I agree with the case, the tempered glass is a "thing" that is getting popular as the day goes on, and tbh it doesn't look too bad especially for a extra $10, I just like the small little side window. I plan on possibly putting LED's in the case however my 1070 GFX Card, has RGB Led's on it, so I am not completely sure if it will be necessary. Also this case I like the "Stealthy" look of the ports on the top of the case, this case it has a nice little flap, which I am sure will end up breaking tbh, they usually do, but I think it creates a more sleek look for the case rather than just having all the ports and everything just showing on the top.

But thanks again man. If I have any further questions I will definitely reply to this topic and ask you, since you prefer not to be private messaged with questions. Have some more rep for being a great helper in this build, you helped me spend 2.5K

Backlight bleed. If it's that bad, you can have the panel replaced. If you buy from Amazon and it has a lot of backlight bleed, you can just return it and say you don't want it, or get it replaced and say it was not working properly. If it just randomly dies for no reason, you can definitely get it replaced.

Just grab an NZXT Hue+ when you have a spare $50 or so, that's what I'd do.

Yeah, I actually looked into this, I will most likely get it. My monitor and Case is currently on the way, then I will order some more. I just didn't feel like making a huge 2K order, and risk some of it being damaged in the mail and or being stolen off my porch, since I am not home a lot. For this order the monitor, and the Case it is $947 I am hoping to be home if not I might make my GF stay home all day so she can pick it up for me.
