I want to buy an astro a50 headset but i want to be able to use it on PC and xbox one. I know that i can get sound to through the headset by optical splitter 2x1 but i dont know if it will be 7.1. Also i want to be able to use the mic on both machines. None of this has to be simultaneously. Thanks

I would reccomend the Astro A40s TRs better sound quality and hooks up to a console and computer both at once (I use the PS4 and PC) make sure it comes with the mixamp.

I agree with VMP A40s are a great headset. Can connect to both and come with the mix amp already.

Definitely get the A40 TRs. Best headset I ever bought. I'm able to have sound on Xnox and PC at the same time plus talk on Xbox and like wise if I want to talk on PC.
DO NOT buy A50s they will die out on you.
Biggest waste of $300 I ever spent.
